The Algarve Marathon 2026 takes place on 6 December, starting and finishing at Marina de Vilamoura, with four distances on the same day: a 42K Marathon, a 21K Half Marathon, a 10K Run and a 5K Solidarity Walk. Choose based on your experience, the training time you have and the goal you set for the end of the year.
42K, the Marathon
The Marathon, 42.195 km, is the flagship and most demanding distance of the day. It assumes a solid endurance base and several months of preparation, with long weekend runs. It is the natural choice for runners who have already completed half marathons and want to end the year with the full challenge. Registration starts at €55 in the current phase.
21K, the Half Marathon
The Half Marathon, 21.0975 km, is one of the most popular road-running distances. It calls for regular training, but without the weekly volume of a marathon, and is the next step for anyone comfortable at 10K. It balances challenge and accessibility. Registration starts at €30 in the current phase.
10K, the Run
The 10K is both an entry point into road running and a distance that welcomes the first-time bib as much as the seasoned weekend runner. A few months of preparation are enough to reach the start line with confidence. Registration starts at €25 in the current phase.
5K, the Solidarity Walk
The 5K Solidarity Walk is for everyone, families included, and shares the same stage and atmosphere as the athletes. It is the simplest way to take part in the event and to support its charitable cause, with no specific training required. Registration starts at €12 in the current phase.
How much it costs and how the phases work
The price of each distance rises in phases as race day approaches, so the earlier you register, the less you pay. The current phase is the cheapest of those still to come. You can see every price, distance by distance and phase by phase, on the Registration page, and each distance profile on the Distances page.
