Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of the official website of the Algarve Marathon 2026, owned by GlobalSport, and the purchase of products and services associated with the event.

Object and identification

GSX Portugal, Unipessoal, Lda. (GlobalSport), with registered office at Avenida Polo 3, nº 72, 4590-052 Paços de Ferreira, tax number 514 779 012, is engaged in organising tourism-entertainment activities, sporting activities and events, offering its customers the possibility of purchasing services and products associated with the events it promotes, namely entries for the Algarve Marathon 2026.

These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of this website and the purchase of products and services electronically.

Acceptance

Ordering and purchasing products and services imply reading, understanding and accepting these Terms and Conditions. GlobalSport reserves the right to change or revise them at any time, with changes published at www.globalsport.pt.

Information about products and services

Products and services have the characteristics described when they are made available. GlobalSport undertakes to correct any errors as soon as they are detected and reserves the right not to complete an order if there are errors in prices or characteristics arising from technical problems beyond its control. All prices shown include VAT at the legal rate in force. Transaction fees may be charged by the payment service providers.

Registrations and orders

The fields marked as mandatory are essential to completing the registration or order, and their accuracy is the customer's sole responsibility. After selecting the services, the customer confirms the order, enters the requested data, chooses the payment method and receives an email with the relevant information.

Payment

Payment may be made by Multibanco reference or by card. With Multibanco, the customer has a set period to pay; if that period expires without payment, the registration is cancelled and a new registration is required. With card payment, the registration is recorded once payment is confirmed.

Cancellation and refunds

No refunds are made for the cancellation of purchased entries, nor in cases where the athlete, for any reason, is unable to take part. There may be specific rules per race, in accordance with the respective regulations, which the participant should consult.

User obligations

The user undertakes to respect these Terms and the applicable law, to provide true and current data, not to falsify their identity, not to carry out illegal activities or activities harmful to the rights of GlobalSport or third parties, and not to introduce content containing viruses or that compromises the operation of the systems.

Intellectual property

This website is owned by GlobalSport. All trademarks, logos, symbols and content used are the property of GlobalSport or of third parties who authorised their use, and are protected by the applicable law.

Liability

Services provided over an open network are subject to interruptions and anomalies beyond GlobalSport's control, and it cannot be held liable for damage resulting from delays, interruptions, communication errors, data loss or misuse by third parties. GlobalSport has implemented security measures appropriate to data transmission, while the user remains responsible for the confidentiality of their access credentials.

Privacy

The processing of personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy, guaranteeing the data subject the rights of access, rectification and update of their data.

Governing law and jurisdiction

Anything not expressly governed by these Terms and Conditions is subject to Portuguese law. In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to submit the matter to the jurisdiction of the District Court of Porto, waiving any other.
