The route

From the marina to the Atlantic, and back

The race sets off from Marina de Vilamoura, crosses the municipality of Loulé with the ocean close by, and returns to the same point, where the finish line waits.

In December, the Algarve gives you what almost no European destination can at that time of year: mild temperatures, good light and roads made for running. It is the right setting to close your season with a time you will remember.

Where are the start and finish?

At Marina de Vilamoura, in the municipality of Loulé, for all four distances. You finish where you started, right by the Atlantic.

Is the course fast?

Yes. It is a fast, predominantly flat course, starting and finishing at sea level. The marathon has around 253 metres of total climb over 42.195 km, the half marathon around 113 and the 10K around 45.

Is the course certified?

The course is undergoing certification and homologation with the competent bodies. We will publish confirmation on this page as soon as the process is complete.
